This specimen was lot 3419 in Stephen Album sale 50 (Santa Rosa, CA, September 2024), where it sold for $312. The catalog description[1] noted, "PERU: Carlos II, 1665-1700, AR 2 reales cob, 1699-L, assayer R, VF." This cob two reales was struck for Charles II 1684-1701. Assayer R is listed for 1685-88, 1690-91, 1695 and 1699 but we don't know if these are all by de Rojas.

Specification: 6.77 g, 0.931 fine silver, this specimen 4.16 g.
