This specimen was lot 2848 in Sincona sale 80 (Zürich, October 2022), where it sold for 500 CHF (about US$599 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted, "ITALY | Vatican - Church State, Pius VI. 1775-1799. Doppia Romana 1776, Roma. Rare. Very fine." This type was issued 1776-85 and is not rare in circulated condition. The SCWC catalogs this as a thirty paoli. The doppia was originally a double scudo d'oro.
