This specimen was lot 30980 in Heritage sale 3081 (New York, January 2020), where it sold for $1,320. The catalog description[1] noted, "Italy: Papal States. Alexander VIII Testone Anno II (1690) MS61 NGC, Rome mint. Exceptionally handsome and possessing an eye appeal which seems to far exceed its awarded designation, the fields replete with fine die polish and slightly topaz luster." The reverse features SS. Magnus and Bruno standing and was also used on a gold quadrupla.
