This type is listed for 1760 only and was struck in Rome. It is dated by the regnal year (III) on the obverse). No more copper baiocchi were made in Rome until 1782. The early coinage of the Papal States used an antique monetary system. After 1740, five quattrini = one baiocco; 100 baiocchi = one scudo.
