This specimen was lot 1526 in Künker sale 403 (Osnabrück, March 2024), where it sold for €1,300 (about US$1,706 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"PAPST CLEMENS XI., 1700-1721. Die Münzstätte Rom. Giulio A V (1704/1705) Rom. Der Wappenschild auf der Vorderseite oben mit Muschel unten mit Maske. Seltene Variante. Prachtexemplar. Fast Stempelglanz. (Papal States, Clement XI, 1700-21, giulio of the year 12, Rome mint. The coat of arms on the obverse has a shell at the top with a mask at the bottom. Rare variety, cabinet example, about uncirculated.)"
The reverse depicts St. Francis receiving the stigmata from heaven. This type was struck year V only. The photo in the SCWC shows a different variety than that shown here.
