Künker sale 403, lot 1482

This specimen was lot 1482 in Künker sale 403 (Osnabrück, March 2024), where it sold for €800 (about US$1,050 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"PAPST INNOCENZ XII., 1691-1700. Die Münzstätte Rom. Grosso A III (1693/1694), Rom. Feine Patina, vorzüglich. Exemplar der Auktion Fritz Rudolf Künker 138, Osnabrück 2008, Nr. 4718. (Papal States, Innocent XII, 1691-1700, grosso of the year 3, Rome mint. Fine patina, extremely fine.)"

The bust of St Paul on the reverse is a classic of Baroque portraiture.
