This specimen was lot 56810 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Pittsburgh, PA, August 2023), where it sold for $100. The catalog description[1] noted, "ITALY. Papal States. Grosso, ND (1670-76). Rome Mint. Clement X. PCGS AU-50." This is one of seven different grossi (KM 335, 336, 337, 338, 339, 359, 360) struck by this pontiff. Only some are dated. The reverse states, "[DOMINVS]·DILEXI·DECOREM ·DOMVS·TUÆ·[et locum habitationis gloriae tua]", or, "good and upright is the lord: therefore will he teach sinners in the way."
