Sincona sale 47, lot 1902

This specimen was lot 1902 in Sincona sale 47 (Zürich, May 2018), where it sold for 160 CHF (about US$192 including buyer's fees). The catalog description^[1] noted,

"Kirchenstaat, Paul III. 1534-1549. Grosso A XIII (1546/1547), Rom. Selten. Sehr schön. (Papal States, Paul III, 1534-49, grosso of the year 13, Rome mint. Rare, Very fine.)"

This issue is one of the few of this pontiff that is dated. Berman notes five different grossi for this reign.
