Sincona sale 59, lot 1985

This specimen was lot 1985 in Sincona sale 59 (Zürich, October 2019), where it sold for 3,600 CHF (about US$727 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"HOLY ROMAN EMPIRE - AUSTRIA | Olmütz, Bistum, Jakob Ernst Graf von Liechtenstein-Castelcorn, 1738-1745. 1/2 Taler 1742, Kremsier. Äusserst selten. Fast vorzüglich. Kleine Henkelspur. (bishopric of Olmutz, Jacob Ernest, count of Liechtenstein-Castelcorn, 1738-45, half thaler of 1742, Kremsier mint. Extremely rare, About extremely fine, Minor mount mark.)"

This type was struck 1739-40 and 1742. A similar thaler (Dav-1230) also exists.
