This specimen was lot 1197 in Stephen Album sale 32 (Santa Rosa, CA, September 2018), where it sold for $141. The catalog description[1] noted, "NUREMBERG: AR kreuzer, 1799, PCGS graded MS65, ex Don Erickson Collection." Nurnberg issued a prolific array of minor coinage in the eighteenth century, including pfennig, and one, four, five, eight, ten, twelve, twenty and thirty kreuzer. A kreuzer was four pfennig and 120 kreuzer made a thaler. We note three different kreuzer for 1799: KM 388, 395 and 398 (shown here). All are common.
