Sincona sale 63, lot 393

This specimen was lot 393 in Sincona sale 63 (Zürich, June 2020), where it sold for 1,500 CHF (about US$1,880 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"DEUTSCHLAND | Nurnberg, City. Taler 1628. Sirenentaler. Mit dem Titel Ferdinands II. Mit dem Münzmeisterzeichen 3 Ähren (Hans Putzer). Sehr selten. Sehr schön. Hübsche Patina. Kleines Zainende. (Germany, city of Nurnberg, "mermaid" thaler of 1628, struck in the name of Ferdinand II. Very rare, Very fine, Attractively toned, Minor edge clip.)"

Altho this is a rare type, this specimen did not realize its catalog value.
