This specimen was lot 24589 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2018), where it sold for $288. The catalog description[1] noted, "NORWAY. 4 Skilling, 1788-HIAB. Christian VII (1766-1808). PCGS MS-64 Secure Holder. Nice strike, lightly toned and attractive." This type was struck 1778 and 1788 and is the scarcest of the billon issues of Christian VII. It was accompanied by billon one skilling (KM 258), two skilling (KM 255) and eight skilling (KM 257).
