Norway 1778-HIAB 4 skilling

from the Stack's Bowers 2018 Collector's Choice sale, lot 71359

This specimen was lot 71359 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Santa Ana, CA, May 2018), where it sold for $100. The catalog description^[1] noted, "NORWAY. 4 Skilling, 1778-HIAB. Christian VII (1766-1808). PCGS Genuine--Damage, AU Details Secure Holder. Gray toned with hints of russet on the obverse. A few small dents present, yielding the detail grade." This is a one year type; the next 4 skilling was the 1788-HIAB. It was accompanied by a 1 skilling (KM 258), 2 skilling (KM 255), 8 skilling (KM 257) and 24 skilling (KM 250). Ninety six skilling made a specie daler.
