This specimen was lot 20586 in Ponterio sale 161 (Chicago, August 2011), where it sold for $4,312.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "NORWAY. Speciedaler, 1648-PG. Latin motto around bust. NGC EF Details--Polished." This daler was struck for Norway by Christian IV, king of Denmark 1588-1648. Despite a steady issue for 1629-48, this type is rare.
