This specimen was lot 1603 in Jean Elsen sale 135 (Brussels, December 2017), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted,
"SUISSE, NEUCHATEL (NEUENBURG), Frédéric Ier de Prusse (1707-1713), Billon Kreuzer, 1713. D/ Ecu couronné. R/ Croix ornée dans un polylobe. D.T. 990. Très Beau. (Switzerland, canton of Neuchâtel, Frederick I of Prussia, 1707-13, billon kreuzer of 1713. Obverse: crowned arms; reverse: ornate cross in polylobe. Very Fine.)"
This type, like most issues from this small part of Switzerland, is rare. It is accompanied by a ten kreuzer (KM 36), 20 kreuzer (KM 37), half batzen (KM 33), quarter thaler (KM 38) and thaler (Dav-1776).
Recorded mintage: 264,000.
