This specimen was lot 3554 in Sincona sale 26 (Zürich, October 2015), where it sold for 1,250 CHF (about US$1,544 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"Wilhelm III. 1849-1890 25 Cents 1887. Utrecht. Sehr selten in dieser Erhaltung. FDC. Prachtexemplar. (kingdom of the Netherlands, William III, 1849-90, twenty-five cents of 1887, Utrecht mint. Very rare in this quality, uncirculated, proof example.)"
This coin has about the same amount of silver as a dime but being only 0.640 fine, is rather larger. It was issued 1849-53 and 1887-90. This is a rare date.
