This specimen was lot 24040 in Heritage sale 3024 (Chicago, April 2013), where it sold for $881.25. The catalog description[2] noted, "Nassau-Weilburg. Friedrich Wilhelm II Taler 1811 L-CT, AU58 NGC, a rare one-year Convention Taler with fantastic original color and tiny planchet voids (as made) in the obverse centers. Just about as nice as these come." This rare type was struck 1810-12. Nassau-Weilburg and Nassau-Usingen were merged in 1816. The coinage ended when Nassau was annexed by Prussia in 1866.
