This specimen was lot 1266 in Stephen Album sale 43 (Santa Rosa, CA, May 2022), where it sold for $264. The catalog description[1] noted, "NASSAU-WEILBURG: Friedrich Wilhelm II, 1788-1816, AR 20 kreuzer, 1809, initial L, two-year type, lightly toned, NGC graded AU50." This scarce type was struck 1809-10. Nassau-Weilburg merged with Nassau-Usingen in 1816 and was later annexed by Prussia after siding with the Austrians in the war of 1866.
