This specimen was lot 71342 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Santa Ana, CA, May 2018), where it sold for $95. The catalog description[1] noted, "MONGOLIA. 25 Tugrik, 1980. NGC PROOF-69 ULTRA CAMEO. Struck to commemorate the International Year of the Child. Brilliant with hard mirrored fields and frosty devices. No spots, tone or fog." The SCWC notes a variety (KM 39.2) struck with countermarks.
Recorded mintage: 14,000.
Specification: 19.44 g, 0.925 fine silver, 36.1 mm diameter.
