This specimen was lot 74835 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, February 2024), where it sold for $125. The catalog description[1] noted, "GREAT BRITAIN. Trade Tokens. Middlesex. Spence's Copper 1/2 Penny Token, 1790. NGC AU-55. Edge: SPENCE x DEALER x IN x COINS x LONDON x. Rich brown surfaces and very little evidence of handling highlight this trade issue."
