This specimen was lot 71386 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, June 2022), where it sold for $264. The catalog description[1] noted, "GREAT BRITAIN. Trade Tokens. Oxfordshire. Banbury. Copper 1/2 Penny Token, ND (ca. 1790's). NGC MS-64 Red Brown. Obverse: Sun face radiating; Reverse: William Rush right; Edge: 'PAYABLE AT BANBURY'. This handsome token presenting incredible red color that provides stunningly sharp beauty to the surfaces. A wholesome example that is certain command much attention on account of the preservation."
