This type was struck at the Mexico City mint 1905-10, 1916-20 and restruck in 1959. This specimen was lot 138 in Sedwick sale 9 (Winter Park, FL, April 2011), where it sold for $373.25. The catalog description[1] noted, "Mexico City, Mexico, 10 pesos, 1917. Bagmarked AU, lustrous and problem-free."
Recorded mintage: 1,967,000.
Specification: 8.33 g, 0.900 fine gold, 22.5 mm diameter, .241 troy oz AGW, this specimen 8.4 grams.
