This specimen was lot 2401 in Goldberg sale 93 (Los Angeles, September 2016), where it sold for $399.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "Mexico: Guerrero. 5 Centavos, 1917-G NGC About Unc. Cacahuatepec. Revolutionary coinage. NGC graded About Uncirculated, Details (Reverse Scratched)." This coin was issued in limited quantities in the closing stages of the revolution at the town of Cacahuatepec in Guerrero state south of Mexico City. It is actually heavier than the official five centavos (KM 422) of 1914-35, which was 9 g. A scarce fifty centavos (KM 650) and a very rare silver peso was also issued (KM 651).

Recorded mintage: unknown but somewhat scarce.
