This specimen was lot 70120 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, November 2023), where it sold for $100. The catalog description[1] noted, "MEXICO. 2 Reales, 1801-Mo FM. Mexico City Mint. Charles IV. PCGS Genuine--Chopmark, VF Details. A bright silvery-white example exhibiting a chopmark in the center of the reverse, as well as evidence of cleaning and other surface issues." Of the two assayers for 1801, FM is scarce, FT is common.

Specification: 6.77 g, 0.896 fine silver.
