Mexico 1792-Mo FM 8 reales

Shown is an 1792MoFM 8 reales, one of a type struck 1791-1808. Assayer FM is recorded for the years 1783-1801. The SCWC records no varieties for the date. The eight reales of Charles IV is the commonest Mexican colonial coin, rivaled only by the following eight reales of Ferdinand VII (1808-21). Mintages are not known but must have been in the millions to account for the number of survivors. This type is available in all grades although nice Uncirculated pieces can be expensive.
