Mexico 1749-Mo MF escudo

All Mexican colonial gold may be considered scarce. This type was struck 1748-51 and is the first of three types featuring Ferdinand VI, who died in 1759. The SCWC notes this as the scarcest of the four dates. In 1752, the "1 S" was dropped from the reverse.
