This specimen was lot 22676 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Anaheim, CA, August 2016), where it sold for $2,350. The catalog description[1] noted, "MEXICO. 8 Reales, 1733-MoF. Philip V (1700-46). NGC AU Details--Environmental Damage. Second year for the type and a VERY SCARCE date. Bright with minor evidence of corrosion. Very close to uncirculated for wear with a hint of strike weakness at the centers. For collectors of the series missing the date, a terrific opportunity to add an example."
