This specimen was part of lot 1916 in Goldberg sale 93 (Los Angeles, September 2016), which sold for $446.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "Mali. 10 and 25 Francs, 1967 Choice Brilliant Proof. President Modibo Keita. Lot of 2 coins. Choice Brilliant Proof." Like the coinage of many impoverished African countries, the commemoratives such as this one, which were sold outside the country, are easier to obtain than circulating coinage. It is accompanied by silver ten francs and gold fifty and hundred francs. Despite being dated 1960, they were actually struck c.1975-77.

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specification: 8 g, 0.900 fine gold, .230 troy oz AGW.

Catalog reference: KM 14.
