This specimen was struck at Kremnica, Slovakia, in 1962, tho dated 1961, for the African nation of Mali. It has been demonetized, presumably when Mali rejoined the CFA franc in 1984. One CFA franc = two Malian francs.

Recorded mintage: 30,000,000 plus 2,000 proofs.

Specification: 1 g, aluminum, 20 mm diameter, reeded edge.
