Künker sale 404, lot 2429

This specimen was lot 2429 in Künker sale 404 (Osnabrück, March 2024), where it sold for €200 (about US$263 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"DAS ERZBISTUM MAINZ. ERZBISCHOF ANSELM FRANZ VON INGELHEIM, 1679-1695. Ein Groschen auf den Tod des Erzbischofs Anselm Franz von Ingelheim. 3 Kreuzer (Groschen) 1695, Mainz, auf seinen Tod. Ohne Signatur. Mit Kurhut bedecktes und verziertes, vierfeldiges Wappen (Mainz/Ingelheim), dahinter Schwert und Krummstab gekreuzt//Sechs Zeilen Schrift, darunter Reichsapfel mit Wertzahl 3. R Sehr schön. Exemplar der Auktion Westfälische Auktionsgesellschaft 67, Dortmund 2013, Nr. 2418. (Germany, archbishopric of Mainz, Anselm Francis of Ingelheim, 1679-95, groshen or three kreuzer of 1695, Mainz mint, on his death, without initials. Obverse: capped, quartered arms of Mainz and Ingelheim, sword and crozier crossed behind; reverse: six line inscription, imperial orb with value below. Rare, very fine.)"

Being a commemorative, this type was naturally struck 1695 only. It is rather expensive for an obscure minor.
