Künker sale 404, lot 2326

This specimen was lot 2326 in Künker sale 404 (Osnabrück, March 2024), where it sold for €650 (about US$853 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"DAS ERZBISTUM MAINZ. ERZBISCHOF ANSELM CASIMIR WAMBOLDT VON UMSTADT, 1629-1647. Die Münzstätte Mainz. Dukat 1636, Mainz. Ohne Signatur. Vierfeldiges Wappen (Mainz/Wamboldt-Umstadt), zu den Seiten die geteilte Jahreszahl 16-36//Verzierte Schrifttafel mit DVCATVS / NOVVS : / AVR • ELEC / TOR • MOG / VNTIÆ •. GOLD. R Vorderseite von korrodierten Stempeln, sehr schön. Exemplar der Auktion Münzhandlung Sonntag 30, Stuttgart 2019, Nr. 880. (Germany, archbishopric of Mainz, Anselm Casimir Wamboldt of Umstadt, 1629-47, ducat of 1636, Mainz mint, without signature. Obverse: quartered arms of Mainz and Wamboldt-Umstadt divides the date; reverse: tablet with five line inscription. Rare, obverse struck with a corroded die, very fine.)"

This type was struck 1636 and 1641 along with KM 67 (bust obverse).
