This specimen was lot 42404 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Chicago, August 2024), where it sold for $720. The catalog description[1] noted, "INDIA. Madras Presidency. 5 Fanams, ND (1808). Madras Mint. PCGS MS-63. Standing as the sole finest example of the type in the PCGS census, this Choice minor provides a well centered and well executed strike, with some pale gray hues and great luster abounding throughout." The very similar KM 342 lacks the buckle under the denomination on the obverse. The other inscriptions are in Persian, Tamil and Telagu. Silver one and two fanams exist.
