Lubeck 1633 1/2 thaler
This specimen was lot 4056 in Künker sale 335 (Osnabrück, Germany, March 2020), where it sold for €460 (about US$602 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"LÜBECK, STADT. 1/2 Reichstaler (16 Schilling) 1633, mit Titel Ferdinands II. und den Abzeichen der Bürgermeister Heinrich Köhler und Lorenz Möller. R Sehr schön. (Germany, city of Lubeck, half thaler of 1633, in the name of Ferdinand II and the badges of mayor Henry Kohler and Laurence Moller. Scarce, very fine.)"
This type was struck 1620-35 and is not cheap. It is listed in the SCWC as a sixteen schilling, not a half thaler, altho worth the same.
