This specimen was lot 4037 in Künker sale 335 (Osnabrück, Germany, March 2020), where it sold for €950 (about US$1,243 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"LÜBECK, STADT. 1/4 Reichstaler (8 Schilling) 1612, mit Titel von Matthias und dem Abzeichen des Bürgermeisters Alexander Lüneburg. . RR Feine Tönung, sehr schön-vorzüglich. (Germany, city of Lubeck, quarter thaler, in the name of Matthias and the badge of mayor Alexander Luneburg. Rare, fine toning, very fine to extremely fine.)"

This type is listed for 1601, 1603, 1608-12 and is rather expensive.

Specification: silver, this specimen 7,08 g.

Catalog reference: KM A6, Behrens vgl. 257 (but with the title of Rudolf II.).
