This specimen was lot 5162 in Goldberg sale 69 (Los Angeles, May, 2012), where it sold for $460. The catalog description ^[2] noted, "Liberia. Cent, 1896-H. NGC graded Proof 65 Red & Brown. The Judy Cahn Collection." This type is from a series struck in 1896 and 1906 by the Heaton mint for Liberia. Other denominations included two, ten, twenty-five and fifty cents.

Recorded mintage: 358,000 plus a few proofs.
