This specimen was lot 1113 in Goldberg's NY International sale 58 (New York, January 2023), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "German States: Kempten. HRE Charles V (1519-1556). Half Taler (15)43. Armored half-figure right, holding scepter over shoulder and sword hilt. Rev. Crowned central shield with three shields around. Rare. Toned. In NGC holder graded XF 45." This type of 1543-49 is rare and expensive. Quarter and single thalers also exist. The city was annexed to Bavaria in 1803.
