This specimen was lot 2108 in Sincona sale 13 (Zürich, October 2013), where it sold for 275 CHF (about US$356 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted, "DEUTSCHLAND, Kempten, Stadt, Taler 1545. Gutes sehr schön. Ex. Coll. Huntington, Nr. 6999." The city was annexed to Bavaria in 1803. This type is noted for 1541-49.
