This specimen was lot 2102 in Sincona sale 13 (Zürich, October 2013), where it sold for 550 CHF (about US$711 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted, "DEUTSCHLAND, Kempten, Stadt, Taler 1541. Sehr schön. Ex. Coll. Huntington, Nr. 6998." This type of 1540-47 is rare and expensive. The city was annexed to Bavaria in 1803.
