This specimen was lot 292 in Sincona Auction 103 (Zürich, May 2026), where it sold for 700 CHF (about US$1,067 including buyers' fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"DEUTSCHLAND Kempten, Stadt, Taler 1542, Kempten. Sehr schön. (Germany, city of Kempten, thaler of 1542, Kempten mint. Very Fine.)"
This type of 1541-49 is scarce. The city was annexed to Bavaria in 1803.
