The specimen shown is from a type struck in Rome for Italy 1993-94, 1996-2001. It replaced the stainless steel issue of 1954-92. The same bust was used on the fifty lire (KM 183). All dates are common.

Recorded mintage: 210,000,000.

Specification: 4.5 g, copper nickel, 22 mm diameter.
