This specimen was lot 33292 in Heritage sale 3064 (Chicago, April 2018), where it sold for $480. The catalog description[1] noted, "Republic Proof 10 Pruta JE 5709 (1949)-(i) PR65 Red and Brown PCGS, Imperial Chemical Industries mint (in Great Britain). Golden peripheries with underlying olive hints embrace the warm coppery fields nicely on this variety featuring a tiny pearl under the wreath on the reverse. Ex. Kings Norton Mint Collection." This one year type was accompanied by one pruta (KM 9), 5 pruta (KM 10), 25 pruta (KM 12), 50 pruta, 100 pruta, 250 pruta (KM 15) and 500 pruta. Rapid inflation destroyed the value of this series and the coinage was reformed in 1960.

Recorded mintage: 7,428,000 with pearl + 20,000 proofs + 7,500,000 without pearl.

Specification: 6.1 g, bronze, 27 mm diameter.
