This specimen was lot 75301 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice Online Auction (Costa Mesa, CA, May 2025), where it sold for $456. The catalog description[1] noted, "IRAN. 5000 Dinars, SH 1306 (1927). Tehran Mint. Reza Pahlavi. PCGS MS-64." This type was struck SH (Solar Hegira) 1305-1306. It was superseded by KM 1106, which featured the portrait of the shah.
Recorded mintage: 3,186,000.
Specification: 23.02 g, 0.900 fine silver, 36 mm diameter, reeded edge.
