This specimen was lot 1433 in Goldberg sale 128 (Los Angeles, June 2022), where it sold for $288. The catalog description[1] noted, "Iran. 2000 Dinars (1/5 Toman), AH1335 (1916). Sultan Ahmad Shah, 1909-1925. Uniformed bust. PCGS graded MS-62." This type was struck years AH 1332-1343. This denomination was also struck in silver (KM 1057).
Recorded mintage: unknown but common.
Specification: 0.57 g, 0.900 fine gold, 14 mm diameter, .0166 troy oz AGW.
