This specimen was lot 12164 in Ponterio sale 169 (Baltimore, November 2012), where it sold for $352. The catalog description[1] noted, "IRAN. Toman, AH 1335 (1916). NGC MS-62. Sultan Ahmad Shah (1909-25)." This type was struck AH 1332-1343 during the reign of Ahmad Shah (r. 1909-25).
Recorded mintage: unknown but common.
Specification: 2.874 g, 0.900 fine gold, .083 troy oz AGW, 19 mm diameter.
