This specimen was lot 904 in Stephen Album sale 41 (Santa Rosa, CA, September 2021), where it sold for $900. The catalog description[1] noted, "BRITISH INDIA: George V, 1910-1936, 2 annas, 1925(b), proof restrike, PCGS graded Proof 63." The two annas, originally a silver coin (KM 515), was switched to copper-nickel in 1918 and struck to this design until 1936. Similar two annas were struck for George VI until 1947. The administration also attempted to circulate copper-nickel four and eight annas but failed. The Bombay mint also minted this type.

Recorded mintage: 8,348,000 + proofs.
