Sincona sale 66, lot 1778

This specimen was lot 1778 in Sincona sale 66 (Zürich, October 2020), where it sold for 80 CHF (about US$105 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"HEILIGES ROMISCH REICH, Leopold I. 1657-1705. 3 Kreuzer 1665 KB, Kremnitz. Vorzüglich-FDC. Prachtexemplar. (Austria, Leopold I, 1657-1705, three kreuzer of 1665, Kremnitz mint. Extremely fine-uncirculated, Cabinet piece.)"

This type was struck for Hungary 1661-96 and is common. Six krajczar were also struck in large numbers. The thaler was in the mid-seventeenth century equal to ninety kreuzer, making this denomination one-thirtieth thaler.
