This specimen was lot 25076 in Heritage sale 3026 (Long Beach, October 2013), where it sold for $1,057.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "Rudolf II Taler 1603-KB, Kremnitz, MS63 NGC, deeply toned with bold design features, rare early type in this select quality." Davenport lists this type for 1578-1600 as Dav-8066 and 1601-08 as Dav-3013. The Nagybánya mint also issued thalers in 1603 (Dav-3014 and -3015).
