Hungary 1599-KB ducat Fr-63

This specimen was lot 24468 in Heritage sale 3024 (Chicago, April 2013), where it sold for $1,762.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "Rudolf II gold Ducat 1599 KB, MS62 NGC. Lustrous, and well struck, with a somewhat wavy flan. NGC has incorrectly listed this as Fr-68, but Fr-68 is for coins with NB mintmark. This is correctly Fr-63." The armored standing figure is not the emperor but of St. Ladislas holding a pike.
