This specimen was lot 3085 in Sincona Auction 101 (Zürich, October 2025), where it sold for 5,000 CHF (about US$7,536 including buyers' fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"NIEDERLANDE Holland, Provinz, 2 Dukaten 1778, Dordrecht. Sehr seltener Jahrgang. NGC MS63 PL. Prachtexemplar. (Netherlands, province of Holland, double ducat of 1778, Dordrecht mint. Very rare date, Cabinet piece.)"
This type was struck 1749-93 with a reeded edge. It is much scarcer than the single ducat.
