This specimen was lot 1889 in SINCONA Auction 97 (Zürich, May 2025), where it sold for 1,600 CHF (about US$2,321 including buyers' fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"NIEDERLANDE Holland, Provinz, 2 Dukaten 1779, Dordrecht. Vorzüglich. (Netherlands, province of Holland, double ducat of 1779, Dordrecht mint. Extremely Fine.)"
This type was struck 1749-93 with a reeded edge. It is much scarcer than the single ducat.
